A Howard Keith for HK Furniture 1950's wingback armchair, re-upholstered in lime green (with a turquoise blue fleck) woolTweed by Bute Fabrics, with HK label to underside.
95cm high, the seat 60cm wide at the front, 52cm deep and 41cm high.
A striking piece of post-war British design by Howard Keith. The combination of a seat that subtly tapers from the front to the back and the large wings and angled armrests make this chair exceptionally comfortable. Founded in the 1930's HK furniture produced chairs and sofas of the very highest quality retailed at Heals and Harrods that fused striking design with traditional techniques and craftsmanship, supplying furniture for the QEII, The Royal Train and Portcullis House at Westminster.
