An Art Deco German Porcelain Perfume Lamp / Nighlight, circa 1920, in the form of a seated French Bulldog with glass eyes and painted markings, the head with a large aperture and several small holes. These nightlights are known as perfume lamps - the small holes at the top of the head allows perfume to be sprinkled onto the interior bulb to scent the room.
No makers mark but possibly by the Goebels factory. Bears impressed number to underside.
In excellent condition with no damage or repairs but lacking the original bulb fitting.
