A Minton white glazed centrepiece,1870, impressed factory marks, year cypher and shape no.1539.
Modelled as a putto wearing drapwery and holding a lyre, seated upon a nautilus shell on a rocky mound base moulded with reeds and shells.
In generally good condition overall with no chips or restoration. The back of the putto's arm has a vertical crack, hairline crack to the bottom of the nautilus shell and a few small surface hairlines at the base (see close up photographs).
