A rare Staffordshire saltglaze stoneware mustard pot, circa 1760, of baluster form with reeded loop handle, moulded in relief with a basketweave trellis pattern centred with stars and dots and raised on a domed foot with gadrooning, the domed lid with flowerhead fiial and joined to the handle with a metal chain.
Condiiton: No restoration or major damage, there is a small rim chip adjacent to the loop handle and a small firing imperfecton to the right of the handle, the lid has edge nibbling to the flowerhead finial.
