A huge, lovely quality, Regency cut glass table rummer, circa 1820, the tapering bowl slice cut to the bottom half and raised on a knopped stem terminating in a circular foot with polished pontil. The bowl hand engraved with an initialled cartouche over a pair of crossed feathers and with a band of trailing roses, daisies and whistles.
This size of rummer was used to mix punch or toddy at the table before being put into smaller glasses for serving.
Condition: no chips or damages to the glass however there is some scratching to the inside of the glass due to its being used to mix toddy or punch at the table.
22.5cm high - I've used the wine bottle as an illustration for size.
