Six Liverpool Delft, Sadler & Green printed tiles, circa 1765.
The tin-glazed earthenware tiles of square form square transfer-printed in black, four with scenes from Æsop's Fables, another of lovers before a windmill in a landscape and another of a lady and two gentleman fishing, within rococo scroll "88" borders.
Condition: the fishermen tile is complete but has nibbling to the edges, the other five tiles are have damages and repairs.
