An extremely comfortable Victorian button back armchair of generous proportions by the esteemed 19th century cabinet maker Cornelius V Smith, circa 1870, with iron frame and sprung seat, raised on ring turned mahogany front supports with original brass and porcelain castors. Bearing CVS makers mark in an oval stamp to inside back leg.
Recently re-covered in contract grade burnt orange velvet.
87cm high, the seat measures 56cm wide at the front, 53cm deep and 40cm high.
