An Edwardian oak swivel office / desk armchair, circa 1915 with Hillcrest mechanism, with a curved bar top-rail over vertical splats, shaped arms and a green rexine upholstered seat, the four legged swivel base upon original ceramic castors. The chair rotates 360 degrees the seat height can be adjusted by turning a ribbed metal screw on the underside of the chair. The chair is stamped ”Hillcrest, Registered Trademark, W.H.F., England” on the mechanism below the seat. The chair also features a reclining action which makes it extremely comfortable.
In original, vintage, condition, the seat action works smoothly and there is no damage or restoration. Original polished finish is somewhat worn.
