A George III mahogany corner washstand, circa 1800, the shaped gallery with small upper shelf over two tiers, the lower tier fitted with a small central drawer flanked by a pair of dummy drawers with brass knobs, raised on splayed legs,.

The top would originally have had a circualr aperture to hold a washbowl which has been covered over in the 19th century with a well matched piece of solid mahogany making it a more useful piece of furniture.
