A pair of Georgian mahogany console tables / Dining Table, circa 1800, of D shape with inlaid cross-banded border to the top and frieze, raised on square tapering supports, together with a single leaf to transform into a dining table. The D ends have retractable lopers at the back to support the leaf. The two D ends can also be placed together to make a circular dining table.
In good condition overall, some small losses to edge veneer, the table would have probably had two leaves but only one now present.
Each console measures 73cm high, 121cm wide, 59cm deep. When used as a dining table with the leaf the table is 172cm long.
