A Welsh mid 18th century oak dresser base, with moulded edge and fielded panels to either end, the three frieze drawers being cross-banded and with line inlaid detailing, each drawer with original brass swing handles, with a simple shaped apron and the front cabriole legs terminating in pad feet.
In good, honest and unrestored condition. The colour is pretty good throughout with some marking to the top as expected. There is some minor loss to the timber at the back edge on one side (see photograph), there are traces of old woodworm and it is likely that the front legs originally had corner blocks.
This dresser has recently been acquired from a farmhouse in West Wales.
