A Regency mahogany secrétaire bookcase, circa 1800, the astragal glazed top with brass trim and three adjustable shelves to the interior, the glazing bars with ebony line inlay, the bottom with a fall front secretaire fitted with an arrangement of satinwood stationary drawers over three long drawers with bun handles, the drawers with ebony line inlay and raised on outswept feet.
In good, original condition overall commensurate to age and of good colour. Area of loss to stringing on the bottom left side which is not very visible. The top is screwed to the base with five recessed screws which are visible, the writing surface is a vinyl replacement (I can arrange to have this replaced with leather if required). The glazed top has its original key.
