A Robin Clarke traditionally crafted and peg-jointed ash Windsor settle in Arts & Crafts style, the high stick-back over a double dished seat, shaped shepherds crook arms and upon chamfered square supports joined by stretchers.
Robin Clarke, based in Leominster, Herefordshire, has been making Windsor chairs in locally grown ash for over thirty years. During this time they have evolved to become simple, comfortable, and beautiful. The parts of the chairs are worked green, in the traditional way, but great care is taken to dry the each piece before assembly. The finished chairs are rubbed down and polished with beeswax.
