A very unusual late 19th century armchair, the painted frame with beaded top edge and scroll arms with foliate carved terminals, with upholstered back and sides and sprung seat, raised on ring turned supports with brass beaded collar and brass castors, the bottom of the upholstery with tassel passementerie trim.
The chair is in original paint and in very good structural condition, the seat is good with no lumps. The silk fabric is torn and needs replacing - I can arrange re-covering with my upholsterer and can source fabric. The passementerie trim could be saved and re-used.
