A Victorian iron framed button back armchair, circa 1880, the sprung seat with serpentine front and raised on ring turned supports terminating in brass and porcelain castors. Upholstered in dark pink velvet.
A very comfortable chair of good proportions for use as a drawing room or bedroom chair. The iron framing gives the back a certain amount of movement which makes them extremely comfortable.
In good order overall. The velvet fabric is unstained and serviceable but would benefit from a steam clean. I can arrange re-covering by my upholsterer and supply fabric if required - please contact me for further details.
86cm high, the seat 69cm wide at the front, 61cm deep and 38cm high, total depth of chair 89cm.
