A Victorian white metal and gilt brooch of oval domed form, centrally set with four oval cabochon garnets within a foliate cast and chased ground surrounded by a border of circular cabochon garnets and foliage, the reverse of the brooch with foliate engraving.
The brooch is hollow cast silver but unmarked and therefore described as white metal. It is a very nicely made piece with the high points of the flowers being picked out in gilt. The pin is possibly a replacement or has had a solder repair where it attaches on the reverse.
