A truly magnificent and huge wire and composition peacock's head. The beads are foil and cellophane wrapped glass bulbs mounted on a metal cage.
This peacock was the figurehead from illuminated The Mayor's Barge at the Thames Festival, London. It was later used as part of a tableau at Blackpool Illuminations, where it sadly caught figure and the figurehead was the only part to survive. It is no longer wired so the bulbs are not operable.
