A highly sculptural chromimum plated 81mm presentation mortar shell, possibly WWII, on an oak stand, probably for a military officers mess. Similar in style to a sculptural shell by Edgar Brandt, the famous French Art Deco metalworker and munitions manufacturer.
Stamped TV219 81mm, with other marks.
The shell measures 48cm long and the stand 56cm long.
