A very unusual Victorian Winged Elm (also known as Cork Elm) Occasional Table, circa 1880, the branches joined in a criss-cross pattern and with brass stops at the ends. The rectangular top has recently been covered in vintage red velvet trimmed with vintage gimp.
The winged/cork elm tree has a very unusual bark which is very knobbly on young trees.
