An antique oak frame, 19th century, extensively carved with fruit, leaves, swags and grotesques, surmounted with a basket of flowers and flanked by a pair of animal headed caryatids, centrally mounted with a mirror plate.
This was possibly originally a clock case. It is nicely carved in deep relief and in good order with one small loss to the moulding at the bottom edge. The mirror plate is a modern replacement.
84cm high x 69cm wide.
