An antique ash and elm stickback Windsor armchair, mid 19th Century, the high hoop back with turned end supports, over a shaped elm seat and raised on turned legs joined by an H-shaped stretcher.
The chair has a great deal of patination and has seen a lot of use. It remains very solid with no wobbles to the back, however typical of many of these old farmhouse chairs the legs have lost a few inches in height. The back right leg has a repair.
Height of back 95cm, Seat height 35cm.
