In good condition overall, some very slight grubbiness to the paper and minor chipping to the frame. Unexamined out of the frame.
Arthur John Trevor Briscoe was born in Birkenhead in 1873. He studied at the Academie Julian in Paris and The Slade School in London. A keen Yachtsman, most of his watercolours are of nautical scenes, and this example is typical of many of the scenes of fishing harbours on the South Coast of England such as Brixham.
