Michael Barnfather is a well known landscape painter. He was born in Ikleston, Derbyshire in 1934 and has lived in Wales for many years. He studied at Derby College of Aft and joined Rolls Royce in 1952 as a technical artist. He became a fully professional painter in 1964 and has exhibited widely.
This is a particularly good example of his early professional work.
