A very unusual and unique Turkish / Ottoman glass bead covered brass vessel, formed of four graduated brass stacked sections, each covered in glass beads with a running design depicting lions, leopards, insects, figures on horseback and stylised foliate motifs. This appears to date from the early 20th Century and has strong comparisons with the Turkish prisoner of war beadwork and folk art covered vessels from Turkey and the Ottoman Empire.
There are a few areas of missing and repaired beadwork. The base is possibly missing a wider flange. Please contact me for further details.
