A most unusual mid Victorian chair, with sprung seat and back, the seat giving the appearance of a loose cushion over a sprung base, the padded scroll back is also sprung giving a great deal of movement and comfort to the chair, upon mahogany ring turned legs and original brass castors.
Clearly the chair needs re-upholstering, the velvet side panels are damask back panel is the original fabric covering, the passementerie is original and could be salvaged.
