An Austrian Cold Painted Terracotta Novelty Tobacco Jar by Johann Maresch (1821 - 1914), in the form of a seated bulldog smoking a cigar and leaning on a waking case, dressed in breeches, waistcoat, frock coat and bowler hat. The underside with impressed mark 'J.M. 8818'.
In good condition commensurate with age, no damage or restoration.
