A pair of Antique French Metis Linen Sheet, late 19th Century, initialled SG in red cross stitch to one corner, constructed from two panels which dates the sheets prior to 1925 when looms were not wide enough to make a sheet out of one piece of linen, it has hand sewn seams worked with tiny stitches which are barely visible. They are a slubby soft white weave and are very tactile.
