An Egyptian applique textile wall hanging, circa 1920`s/30`s, worked on a cotton ground with a processional scene of figures before the Sphinx beside a pyramid.

These Egyptian panels were made as tourist souvenirs after Howard Carter discovered Tutankhamen`s tomb in 1922 and helped to satisfy the mania for all things Egyptian.
Condition is good overall, there is some wear to the top left hand side.
