A French hemp & linen dowry sheet, beautifully monogrammed in red cross stitch with the initials L.A.. The sheet is an unbleached creamy white colour and is very thick and tactile with lots of slubs in the weave. It is made from two panels hand seamed down the centre with tiny stitches which is typical of these antique sheets produced before looms were wide enough to make sheeting in one singe piece.
