An interesting marching banner dating from the early 20th Century for the Worcester branch of the Manchester Unity Oddfellows Society. The red cotton banner appliqued in white with the wording WORCESTER CITY M.U.O.F. JUVENILE LODGE and with yellow woven tape border, loops for inserting a pole to the top edge and two long tapes to either side.
Many of these fraternal organisations had juvenile sections to encourage the young to save and to socialise in controlled conditions. These were some of the earliest youth clubs.
