I was delighted to be a part of the refurbishment team of this historic18th century coaching inn in Limpsfield Village, Surrey.
The building was subject to a complete refurbishment and being Grade II listed it was important to retain the existing character of the building, while giving it a new lease of life. Working in conjuction with local company Design Twenty Five, my role was to choose and source the furniture, lighting and artwork for the various different areas, including dining rooms, intimate lounge areas with velvet covered sofas and easy chairs, and the private dining rooms on the first floor. It is now furnished throughout with antique and vintage furniture, has ambient lighting from the antique gilt fittings shown to effect on the deep blue walls, and original artwork, some specially commissioned for The Bull.
