A good pair of late 19th century French armchairs, with scroll-over square backs and sprung seats, raised on ebonised turned supports terminating in original castors. Upholstered in gold coloured damask pattern cut velour and velvet fabrics with ornate rope detailing and bullion fringe to the bottom edge.
A very comfortable pair of chairs, in good condition throughout, the velvet is a little gruby at the edges and would benefit from a steam clean.
