Victorian Button Back Armchair of Small Proportions

SOLD

Code: 10020

A good quality Victorian armchair circa 1880, of small proportions, the button back with a full edge and corded detailing, raised on channel moulded baluster front supports with original brass and porcelain cup castors.  The castors stamped Cope & Collinson Patent.

This is a very useful size and could be used as an occasional drawing room chair or a for a bedroom.

N.B. Cope & Collinson castors were typically used on very good quality furniture of the period.

The chair is structurally in very good order, the seat and springs are good. The fabric is grubby and has a few marks in places - I have not attempted to clean it.
I can arrange to have the chair re-covered by request - please contact me for further details and examples of recent work.

75cm high, the seat measures 57cm wide at the front, 49cm deep and 28cm high.
