Eight Spanish Spindle Back Dining Chairs
A harlequin set of eight Spanish spindle back dining chairs, late 18th or early 19th century, comprising a set of four matching chairs, one pair of near matching chairs and two other near matching chairs, with shaped spindle backs, upholstered seats and upon ring turned and square section supports joined by bobbin stretchers, all with deep blue velvet upholstered seats with bronze metal bullion fringe and nailed edges.
The four matching chairs measure 111cm high at the back, the seats 49cm wide x 36cm deep x 46cm high. Three other chairs of very similar size and one with a slightly higher back.
All the chairs have gone a certain amount of restoration with some chairs having repairs or replacement parts to the legs/stretchers, the upholstered seats and velvet fabric are all in good order.
