Previously the property of Sir Roger Moore - An Italian tooled leather desk stationery / blotter set, the lid gilt tooled with the coat of arms of The St James' Club, London and with rococo scroll borders. The sloping front opening to reveal a interior fitted with blotting paper, a pen holder (pen missing) and containing four sheets of Roger Moore's headed notepaper.
The historic St James' Club reopened at Park Place in 1980. The club committee was chaired by Sir John Mills and it became renowned for parties hosted by it's celebrity members from the film world, which included Roger Moore, Liza Minelli, Dudley Moore Peter Townshend, Sir Michael Caine, Sir Sean Connery, Tim Rice, Michael Parkinson and Lord Attenborough.
