A pair of engravings titled 'PHILOSOPHIA' and 'THEOLOGIA', depicting seated allegorical female figures representing Philosophy and Theology, after the fresco by Raphael on the ceiling of the Stanza della Segnatura, in the papal apartments in the Vatican.  Each titled and with a biblical quotations

Late 18th Century, within gilded frames.

46cm x 44cm including frames

Condition: Some staining and fading to both engravings, frames and glazing are old but not contemporary to the engravings, however they have clearly been in these frames for some considerable time. The backboards are more recent.
