An Antique French Linen/Hemp Dowry Sheet, circa 1900, beautifully monogrammed in red cross stitch with the initials M.B.
Made from two panels of linen/hemp mix joined down the centre with tiny stitches which dates it prior to 1925, when the hand looms were not wide enough to make sheets out of one piece of cloth.
A beautifully tactile, medium weight sheet, the red monogram remains nice and bright.
Good for use as a bed sheet but would be fantastic fabric for a throw, curtains or upholstery.
