A rare Victorian cork and leather ammunition chest, circa 1850, the lid (now detached) with two straps and brass hasps (one detached), with brass lock plates and shaped escutcheon covers,the whole later painted and decorated with the Royal Coat of arms to the front and the lid. The interior is lined in canvas. The whole heavily distressed and worn with wonderful character.
