A Vintage French Louis XV style kingwood marquetry commode of small proportions. The front of serpentine outline and with gilt metal mounts, the two drawer front inlaid with flowering branches and butterflies within a ground of radiating veneers. The shaped top is quarter veneered with line inlay and cross-hatched borders within an ebonised cavetto moulded edge and a gadrooned gilt metal edge, the serpentine sides are similarly decorated and are half veneered. The drawer fronts have gilt metal mounts flanked by canted corners with rococo cast metal mounts, 95cm x 79cm x 33cm.
