Antique Swedish Painted Folk Art Coffer

An early 19th century Northern European, probably Swedish, painted pine coffer, the front with applied moulding containing foliate panels, the top and sides similarly painted, with iron carrying handles to the sides and raised on bun feet, the interior with candle box, original iron lock and a key. 

The coffer is early 19th century in date with some original paintwork which has been overpainted in places, the lock is original although it does not function properly.
