An antique Middle-Eastern, probably Turkish, brass brazier, of trumpet form with oval ring handles and applied leaf decoration raised on four scroll support, the lobed circular top now with a removable white marble top to enable its use as a side table.

Braziers of this type were used to heat houses or the tents of nomadic peoples.  It would originally have had a pierced top to enable the heat to escape.
