A 19th century high-back ash and elm Windsor armchair, circa 1840, the hoop back with central pierced double splat over a shaped seat raised on turned supports joined by a crinoline stretcher. This design is typical of chairs made at the workshop of George Nicholson and Fred Walker in the village of Rockley, Nottinghamshire.
