English School, circa 1880, Three quarter length portrait of a lady in a lace trimmed black dress, seated on a bench with parkland beyond, oil on canvas, within original gilt-wood frame and bearing FROST & REED restoration label verso, numbered 2455 and dated 1951.

The portrait is of one of the Middleton family of Britton, nr, Bristol according to the the label and chalk marks on the reverse. It is in good condition, having been re-lined by Frost & Reed in 1951.
