Very Large French Lime Green Mercury Glass Witches Ball

A very large antique French lime green coloured mercury glass witches ball, circa 1900, with pressed metal crown attchment and original hanging loop.

Hand blown glass and with original hanging pressed loop crown attachment. When when hung witches balls reflect the entire room but were commonly hung in windows to deter 'witches' or the 'evil eye'.

The condition is largely what one would like and expect to find in an original antique example with pitting and character marks with age and remains very original. There are no cracks or damages.
